Heyo, been a big fan of the SW/DV comics and many of the side series. Thanks for all of your hard work & time on it. For me, personally, it feels like there is/should be a saturation point of how many times Vader & the Luke/Leia/Han crew run into him before it takes away some of the magic of Empire. Part of the Vader mystique for me was that he was so ominous. Is this a sentiment you share and/or something on your radar? Thanks again for all of your awesome work.

I am going to be honest with you, here.

That’s not a sentiment I share, and it’s because the Marvel mind and the Star Wars mind are very different animals.

I come from Marvel comics. A place where Spider-Man has probably fought Doctor Octopus a zillion times, and will continue to fight him a zillion more, and will never really get much older than he is now. It’s all about making those stories feel fresh and interesting, not about ticking off the days and accounting for all the time that passed. To ME, we could do an infinite number of issues that all take place between Episodes 4 and 5, and never get to Echo Base.

But that’s not how Star Wars usually does things, and it’s not how Lucasfilm usually looks at things. They are much closer to your mindset, so…I think they will likely keep us from making people meet too many times.
